85% of people who come to Jesus do so before the age of 18.
As believers in Jesus, we are all pilgrims on our way to see Him. This is a journey we take together, young and old. Our desire is for the whole fellowship to join hands with the children and their families not only on Sundays, but in our daily lives, united in the love and fellowship of Christ our Savior as we walk through life in unity.
Therefore, we purpose to partner with parents and help them embrace their call to make disciples at home. Our trained servants love Jesus and loves serving kids in a way that is centered towards their needs as they grow in their walk with Christ! We plant the seeds of the Gospel into the lives of kids through prayer, worship, games, crafts, and Bible study. That seed is to sow the love of Jesus to all children as we instruct them in God’s Word so they can know Christ, be saved through faith, grow in Christ, learn to walk in that faith and through the power of the Holy Spirit, and share their faith.
“One day children were brought to Jesus in the hope that he would lay hands on them and pray over them. The disciples shooed them off. But Jesus intervened: “Let the children alone, don’t prevent them from coming to me. God’s kingdom is made up of people like these.” Matthew 19:13-15

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY LEADER
Johnny Duncan
Johnny D was born in Southern California, not far from where Calvary Chapel first began. His family attended the West Covina congregation and accepted Jesus to be his savior at the age of 8 during a summer Bible camp at Green Oak Ranch. In 1980 his father Don & family moved to Kansas to start Calvary Chapel in Wichita, Ks. The 80’s was a trying time of living the double life of being “cool” in the worlds eyes vs. the pressure of being a 1st generation preachers kid. At age 19 he joined the U.S. Army and loved it, (all of it) a place to be detail oriented as well as a place to release all the anger of his teenage years.
He served in combat with 24 I.D. and upon returning home seen the world differently. The next 25 years was a battle of flesh and selfishness fueled by PTSD and manifested in drugs, sex, guns & violence. These immoral choices and self destructive behaviors landed him in State and Federal Prisons where God began to reveal and teach him thru the Word about grace, nature of God, forgiveness, identity in Christ and second chances.
He now is the father of one child, Assistant Pastor at CCF, Elder on the servant leadership team as he oversees the childrens church and active in prison ministry as he works with various groups to help those in transition. He has a passion for teaching the Word of God and seeing lives changed. His motto is: In His counsel, by His strength, for His glory!
“If I could relive my life, I would devote my entire ministry to reaching children for God.”
D.L. Moody
